Lopolopo Inc was conceived in 2018 as a platform for featuring the latest available technology products and celebrating technical achievements made by women and for women. In 2020, the founder Prenthis Aguilar, was featured in a book written by students about women in STEM at Cornell University. In a few weeks, she was asked to speak on several corporate and conference panels about her STEM career, work-life balance and entrepreneurship. Prenthis decided to incorporate Lopolopo as a private foundation in order to effectively manage her exciting engineering career and philanthropic passions.
In 2021, Lopolopo officially received 501c(3) status as a private foundation. Our focus has become one of education and the empowerment of mature women. Lopolopo has provided grants to various STEM and women-entrepreneur focused organizations and individuals over the last several years. In 2025, we are establishing infrastructure to execute programs for women who are transitioning to STEM careers for greater financial security.
