Fall is a perfect time to collect our fruits and to weed out the things we don’t want in our garden to grow next year. Plan ahead for the fruit you want to grow in the next harvest and plant those seeds in the spring or each morning; go at your own pace. And remember to rest at the end, and say “It is good”.
Summer is time to celebrate so many things — school break, weddings, graduations, holidays and great weather. Take the time to do things which bring you joy. Sometimes these desires can seem daunting or take longer than you expect or require sacrifices. But the feeling of accomplishment when your desire is attained is such a great feeling. We can do hard things; and we can celebrate along the way.

My memories for over 37 years with Jose are tough to beat; a dream courtship, wedding, four children, family vacations and unwavering love. I came across a LinkedIn post for a coding camp in Detroit, called Sisters Code: Awaken the Mature Geek. I loved the title and tagline. I wanted a new experience, one without the weight of grief and mourning. It was the perfect opportunity to kick-start development of my coding skills, a longtime personal goal of mine.

That’s 91 waking days; cumulatively, that adds up to 370 billion waking American hours and $349 billion. In 2019, here’s what we could do instead…
Elon Musk has called it: you’re already a cyborg . Your smartphone enhances your mind, your spectacles enhance your vision, and your pacemaker (if you have one) regulates your heartbeat. Our environment is increasingly wired, sensor-filled, and digitally connected—and so are we! This trend will only continue.
“There are mice droppings in the kitchen”, my tenant says. OMG. My heart dropped. “Do I really have to deal with this?”
A car or truck is one of your most costly technology purchases. It also happens to be your personal means of transportation, affording you freedom, access and protection from the elements. I came across the Girls Auto Clinic and I started reading about the journey of its founder Patrice Banks. She wrote a book that I highly recommend you own for yourself and to gift the women in your life who drive.
